This page explains what information the WeBuyGold USA tools collect, why, and who can see it.

Who this covers

• Dealers: gold buyers, pawn shops and jewelers who open an account.
• Dealer staff: people a dealer invites to its storefront.
• Dealer customers: people who use a dealer's estimator or chatbot.

What we collect

Accounts

Your name, email and password. Passwords are handled by our sign-in provider, Neon Auth. We do not see your password. We verify your email with a code.

Storefront information a dealer enters

Business name, legal name, website, store addresses, phone numbers, hours, payout settings, logo, staff members and invites. A dealer's logo is stored with our file provider and is shown publicly on that dealer's TV display and estimator.

Dealer customers

Customer requests come from a dealer's estimator and from its chatbot. A request can include a first name, phone number and/or email, the items and estimate, a visit day, an optional message, and the customer's consent to be contacted by that store. The chatbot stores the consent click and its time.

We also store the IP address and browser or device details with each customer request. Dealers do not see these.

Requests are stored for the dealer. Only that dealer's team can see the contact details and messages. Other dealers cannot. SYG staff do not see your customers' contact details or chats. They see counts, dealer profiles and staff, lot requests, and a log of account changes.

Chatbot

If a dealer turns on the chatbot, we store the chat messages and an anonymous visitor cookie. The dealer's team can read the chats. Messages are sent to OpenRouter and to the AI company that runs the model the dealer chose. The dealer's store name is part of what is sent. This happens on the dealer's own OpenRouter account.

Chats are kept so the store can see them. Chats older than 90 days move to an archive that only that store's team can see.

The dealer's OpenRouter key

We store it encrypted. We use it only for that dealer's chatbot.

Security and logs

We store IP addresses with customer requests and with the activity log, and a coded form of them to apply rate limits. Our host, Vercel, also logs IP addresses.

The activity log records the user, the IP address, browser or device details, and the before and after values for each change.

We may use Cloudflare Turnstile bot checks when they are turned on.

Prices

Metal prices come from SYG's price feed (metals-api). No personal data is sent to the feed for this.

Cookies

• Sign-in cookies, set by Neon Auth.
• sidebar_state: remembers whether the menu is open.
• wbg_cv: the chatbot visitor cookie. It lasts 90 days.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We do not use third-party analytics.

Who we share data with

We use these service providers to run the service:

• Vercel — hosting
• Neon — database and sign-in
• Resend — sends account emails (verification codes, password reset links)
• UploadThing — file storage
• OpenRouter — AI models, using the dealer's own key
• Cloudflare — bot checks, only when turned on. It receives your IP address.

We do not sell personal data.

How we use information

To run the tools, send account emails, keep the service secure, show dealers their own requests and chats, and review accounts for misuse.

Your choices

To see, correct or delete your information, email info@sygusa.com. We will delete what we are not required to keep. Security and activity records are kept.

Retention

We keep account, request and activity records while your account is open, and longer only when needed for legal or business records. Chats are kept and archived after 90 days.

Children

The service is for businesses and adults. It is not for children under 13.

Changes

We will post changes on this page and update the date.
